Professional Freelance Writing

Born in rural Alabama and raised in the coastal plains of eastern Georgia, Trina L. Grant spent much of her young life in a solitary world, surrounded by characters concocted from a need to create. Trina left Savannah in 1993 to return to her native Alabama. Throughout high school she wrote continuously, penning short stories, essays and flash fiction. Trina won several awards for her writing, including an international award for poetry. Inspired by a desire to show others the reason for her love of books and the written word, she prepared to enter college to be a teacher. However, life intervened, and college was put on hold. After starting a family and jumping into the grown-up world of jobs and children, Trina began a career in the food service industry. Along the way, she gained priceless knowledge about human nature by observing the many patrons she encoutered.

Trina's most recent work includes freelance informative articles on a myriad of subjects; local, regional, national international news reporting and commentary; and political and social commentary. Trina hosts several blogs, showcasing examples of her writing, a chronicle of her writing career and an op/ed news and politcal journal, amongst others. For samples of Trina's work, and links to her published and non-published pieces, please check out her Portfolio. Trina always welcomes inquiries and proposals, advice and critique.
